Tools and techniques in our worshop are not far from what was used in the 18th. and 19th. centuries. Some haven't changed at all, like French polish, hot glue pot, tools, veneer work, gilding techniques. Our art in restoring 300 years old (or older) pieces of furniture is ninety five percent with the use of our hands. Here are some samples.
Mesh and a cotton rag will create a perfect pad for French polish.
Add some shellac mixed with denatured alcohol and start working magic.
